SEO and Link Building Best Practices
There are all kinds of ways you can do your link building. If you take a look at the Wiki websites you’ll see a good example of link building. When you click on one link, it takes you to another page about a topic which is similar. They all blend together. Those Wiki websites are the most popular on the internet. It takes one subject and builds it up into different categories. The search engine spiders just love Wiki’s and the user enjoys it as well.
I learned from entrepreneur, David Jenyns that don’t shy away from getting back links to your website like some people do. You might have heard it said that if you get links from certain places that you’ll get banned from the search engines.
I don’t believe that because if that were so, you could sign up abcdefg.com to a whole bunch of links that were off colored and they would be banned. You can’t control how people are going to link back to you.
When you start a new internet business, sometimes buying a domain name that has been aged is a good thing to do. When you purchase a domain name and put up your business online, going out and obtaining a large amount of links in one day is not something that you’re going to be doing. Stuff like that doesn’t happen and you want to do your website activity naturally.
Directory submissions are not as successful as they use to be, but you can still obtain a good ranking from these submissions. When I rank for my keywords I don’t use directory submissions. I list my links in the directories for variety. Focus on getting links from a whole bunch of different sources.
Good link building comes over a period of time. You have to watch where your linking from because I’ve seen websites up one day and they are gone the next. Stuff like that just happens. This is why you want to get links from a variety of places. Your replicating what happens naturally. You can do a search online for places that will do this for you automatically.
Submitting your articles to directories and making videos is a great way to get people to link back to your website. Every time you create a link, make it worth clicking on. Concentrate on good quality content.
If you put up a blog, write articles with a driven purpose. Ad pictures and videos to the new content you’re putting up. You don’t want to write words for the sake of seeing them on the computer screen. People enjoy being entertained, so entertain them with excellent content. When you do this, your visitors will come back to your website and might even tell their friends about it. Those are just some of the things I do with my link building.
