Network Marketing Tips – Why Dogs Don’t Chase Parked Cars!

Most network marketing tips today seem concentrated on online prospecting. This is all well and good but the truth is, unless you are still recruiting offline you will be leaving plenty of money on the table.

Remember, just one missed opportunity can literally cost you millions. That’s not an exaggeration. And that leads into the following article which highlights two of the biggest mistakes people make offline.

JUst because we are now in the internet network marketing age that offline prospecting has gone the way of the dinosaurs. You’d be sadly mistaken for thinking so. There are so many opportunities in the offline prospecting world caused by the current state of the economy that casting a net only online means you will more than likely miss the “big fish.”

There are two glaring mistakes reps make when prospecting. You’ll probably recognize these and when you correct them, the results can literally turn your business from a stalled car into a fully loaded racing machine.

MLM Tips

#1 This is a huge network marketing tip…stop chasing parked cars. This is a huge boo boo reps make. They continually pin their faith in one or two prospects. It’s like their mission in life to get these people to join their business. When should you start accepting no or no shows as proof that they are not interested?

I hear…”But their excuses are legitimate. It’s not their fault they couldn’t make it. They really are interested; they just need a little time.”

Here’s the truth – the best thing you can do is let them go. Yes it’s going to hurt but realize this…dogs do not chase parked cars. They don’t. Dogs love to chase moving targets. You should do the same in your business. That is, people who are going places and who are go-getters. So stop pinning your faith in that prospect who keeps standing you up and leaving you “stranded at the altar!”

#2 Share your business with others. But wait a minute, isn’t that what we are supposed to be doing? Yes, share your business – it’s so simple yet most don’t.

Let me give you a scenario. You just got yourself a brand new car. It’s a pricey import and you’re pretty excited about it. What’s the first thing you want to do? Share it with the people you know. Or, you’ve just been shopping and you found this beautiful outfit and can’t believe how much of a discount you got. Again, first thoughts would be I’ve got to let the girls know about this.

You’ve just started a new business and it’s in the relationship marketing niche. Share it. It’s the same principle. Remember these two network marketing business tips and apply them on a regular basis and watch not just your enrollments increase, but the number of quality recruits you sign on.
