Dropship Companies

Dropshipping is a famous method of selling products to customers, although it’s quite different from the usual selling procedure. The dropship companies involved in the whole process usually agree on a stated set price, deal with the inventory, collect the payments, and carry out the labeling and shipping with regard to the sold goods.

The difference between dropship companies and other business dealers is that dropship companies do not sell directly to the customer. They have a network of sellers who do the selling for them. Dropship companies generally charge a wholesale price from the retailer or wholesaler who then has the sole authority of changing the price the way they want.

Sometimes being resellers for dropship companies can have certain pitfalls. Even though the handling of inventory, labeling or shipping of the goods is not done by you, if a mistake occurs, the customer would definitely try to contact you and not the company who is at fault. For instance, if the customer receives a faulty product or doesn’t get the product they ordered, they will notify you. Such issues are to be resolved with the dropship companies who handled the goods.

Since the market is full of scammers who are ready to profit from your money, it is better to find out information regarding different dropship companies. Are they legitimate? Do they deliver high quality goods on time? These are a few questions that need to be answered.

Some dropship companies are known to be late with their product deliveries. If you are a reseller, are you experiencing a similar situation with the dropship company you are involved with? If so, there could be problems in the long run. Getting to know about their delivery turnaround depending on the region will get you a better idea about how they deliver products to the customers.

If you are new to the business, it would be better if you could get hold of a dropship directory. Information with regard to all the dropship companies in your area can be found in such a directory.

There have been many situations where some dropshipping companies have carried out false business deals with their retailers. Some try to deal directly with the clients you have already found. Make sure this doesn’t happen by getting a written contract that clearly states the wholesaler, importer or manufacturer has no say with the clients. Genuine dropship companies will definitely honor such statements.
